Final Fantasy VII Advent Children

Synopsis

Two years have passed since that battle. A mysterious calamity strikes Midgar, the Mako city, which was getting back on its feet after the great destruction brought by Sephiroth. The illness, called Geostigma, sends people to their deaths one after another, with no cure to be found.

A new enemy appears, as if in answer to the illness.

Cloud, who lost dear companions in exchange for peace and had closed his heart in deep guilt, agonizes before the unavoidable battle now upon him. “Can sins be forgiven?” After a long inner struggle, Cloud at last resolves to fight.

What is the enemy after? Why do people fall to the illness? What truth awaited beyond a battle that surpasses human understanding…?
