The Girl Who Leapt Through Time

Synopsis

Makoto Konno, in her second year of high school, carelessly cracks open a walnut lying on the floor of the science lab, and with that gains the “time leap”, the power to jump across time and go back to the past.

To try the power out, she goes straight back to eat the pudding her little sister had eaten.

Sure now that she can “leap”, Makoto sings karaoke with her guy friends Chiaki Mamiya and Kosuke Tsuda until her voice gives out, and plays baseball with the two of them over and over, pulling off one fine play after another… She enjoys her ordinary days to the full.

Whatever happens, it’s fine: she can just go back, and reset things as many times as she likes. Those happy days were supposed to go on. Until Chiaki says to Makoto, “Why don’t you go out with me?”

Time waits for no one.

Leaping again and again, when the leaps she has left run out, Makoto realizes that the most precious, irreplaceable time of her life had been right there…
