Xenosaga: The Animation

Synopsis

T.C. 4767: four thousand years had passed since mankind abandoned Earth, the land of its birth.

Mankind was now on the brink of extinction. It was under intermittent attack by the Gnosis, unknown beings that had appeared out of nowhere.

Shion Uzuki, a young scientist at Vector Industries, boards the Woglinde, a cruiser of the Galaxy Federation’s forces, and heads out to investigate a planet that was attacked and wiped out by the Gnosis.

On the way, the Woglinde recovers an object called the Zohar. The many designs that surround the Zohar tangle together, and, as if summoned, a great swarm of Gnosis appears.

As the fleet comes under attack and is mercilessly destroyed, KOS-MOS, the most powerful combat android, developed to fight the Gnosis, starts up without an order from anyone…
